What happens when an OSM evangelist, an amateur photographer and a mapping enthusiast get together? With an urge to map and put out locally relevant spatial data available to the any-many seekers, Gubbi Labs has begun to map Gubbi. Thats why we say Gubbi Labs is all set to Liberate Gubbi "geo-spatially"!

And yes, most features will be photo-tagged. While we work on the map, go around with a photographic tour of Gubbi and its surroundings.

Great work! I think you guys should similarly 'liberate' as many smaller towns and villages like this. I am sure there is a lot of enthusiastic people who would like to 'be the guy' who put up detailed maps with photos of their town on the 'internet'. We could use such enthusiasm and this could be the incentive. And what you have done has great applications even for health planning. I think somebody should inform the Tumkur health authorities about this and it could be used in the annual plan that they make (by hand!).
